Sperm Count

Sperm Count :

Ejaculated sperm have two characteristics which are important in ensuring success in fertilising an ovum, count and quality. Sperm count is the number of sperm per unit volume of ejaculate, and is a measure of the total number of sperm released. The more sperm that are released, the greater are the chances of a successful fertilisation event.Sperm quality is a measure of the chances of an individual sperm being successful in fertilising an ovum. This parameter takes into account both the motility of a sperm (i.e. the vigour with which it moves forward) but also its direction (i.e. its ability to move in a straight line, as opposed to in circles.)
