Support Service Case


Support Service Case : A type of ongoing intervention that can only be used when it is determined that a child is not in need of protection, based on an agreement by the parents, pregnant woman or young person to work with the department. A support service case is the appropriate departmental response (ongoing intervention): (1) to work with a child and family to reduce the likelihood of future harm to a child; (2) to work with a pregnant woman to reduce the likelihood of future harm to an unborn child; and (3) to provide ongoing support to a young person transitioning from care
