Swab 08 : To clean out the bore hole of a well with a special tool attached to a wire line. Swabbing a well is often done to start it flowing. By evacuating the fluid contents of the hole the hydrostatic head is reduced sufficiently to permit the oil in the formation to flow into the bore hole
