Swiss Test
Swiss Test : Also Wedge Test. A shear test where a 3 x 3 x 3m triangle wedge is cut upslope from an excavation snow pit. Shear strength is noted if the wedge moves slowly from cutting out the tensile anchors. Or if a skier needs to move onto the wedge, or if the skier needs to jump up and down on the wedge
