Synthetic Seismograms :
Computer-generated seismograms for models of seismic source and Earth's structure. Various methods are used for different purposes, encompassing the whole field of theoretical seismology. Those for the vertically heterogeneous onedimensional Earth model have been well developed and described in many text books. Those for the 2D- and 3Dmodels are still under development.
