Accommodation
Accommodation : (1) (Phys) An adjustment to compensate for an external force. (2) (Physiol) A change in the shape of the lens of the eye that enables it to focus on objects at different distances. Note: The ciliary muscle flattens the lens for focusing on distant objects and relaxes, allowing it to become spherical for near ones.
