Terminal 01 : (1) (Transport) Point where passengers or cargo can transfer or be transferred to either the same or another form of transport to continue their journey. Container terminals deal with the movement of containers between sea, road or rail as appropriate at that terminal. Tanker terminals are shore facilities where oil tankers are berthed for the purpose of loading or discharging petroleum cargo. (2) (Computer) The input or output device for a computer. It may be a line printer, a punched card reader, magnetic tape recorder, a teletype or a visual display unit, or a combination of these. (3) (Elect.
