Avogadro's Law
Avogadro's Law : (Phys) The principle that equal volumes of gases and vapors at the same pressure and temperature contain the same number of molecules. Also called: Avoqadro's Hypothesis (Brit). Note: Quantities of gases measured in proportion to their molecular weights occupy the same volume: e. g. , 2 pounds of hydrogen, 32 of oxygen, and 44 of carbon dioxide each occupy 357 cubic feet at standard temperature and pressure
