Thermal Inertia 2
Thermal Inertia 2 : Product of thermal conductivity, density and specific heat capacity. NOTE 1 When a material is exposed to a heat flux, the rate of increase of surface temperature depends strongly on the value of the thermal inertia of the material. The surface temperature of a material with a low thermal inertia rises relatively quickly when it is heated, and vice versa. NOTE 2 The typical units are J2. s-1. m-4. K-2
