Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) 2 : TPP measures how well a fabric protects the wearer against second-degree burns in a flash fire. The higher the TPP value, the more thermal protection the fabric provides relative to other fabrics. The NFPA minimum requirement of a TPP rating of 35 equates to 171/2 seconds until 2nd degree burn occurs in a flashover situation
