Thrust Fault 01 : (1) A fault in which the block above the fault plane moves upward relative to the block below (2) A fault with a depth of 45 or less in which the upper block appears to have moved upward relative to the lower block. Horizontal compression rather that vertical displacement is its characteristic feature
