Tinder 4
Tinder 4 : May be defined as material which can be ignited by an ordinary lighted match, and materials such as wood, cardboard, paper, textiles, etc. , may be classed as tinder providing they have a specific surface of not less than 2 m2 per kg (20 cm2 per gram). Dusts 'may have specific surface areas greater than 100 m2 per kg (1000 cm2 per gram) so that combustible dusts when mixed with air in the correct proportions are able to experience oxidation at rates so rapid as to constitute explosions.
