TNT Equivalence : The amount of TNT (trinitrotoluene) that would produce observed damage effects similar to those of the explosion under consideration. For non-condensed phase explosions, the equivalence has meaning only at a considerable distance from the explosion source, where the nature of the resultant blast wave is more or less comparable with that of TNT
