Transport Process
Transport Process : (Phys) A molecular process by which energy, matter, or momentum is conveyed by temperature, concentration, velocity, or pressure gradients. Note: The common transport processes are diffusion, the transport of a chemical species due to its concentration gradient; thermal conduction, the transport of energy due to a temperature gradient; thermal diffusion, the transport of a species due to a temperature gradient; viscosity, the transport of momentum due to a velocity gradient; pressure diffusion, the differential transport of a species due to a pressure gradient; and the inverse themal diffusion, or Soret effect, the transport of energy due to a concentration gradient
