Triassic Period

Triassic Period : Segment of the Mesozoic Era that follows the Permian and precedes the Jurassic Period. It lasted from about 225 million to 190 million years ago and was named for the three subdivisions of the period as recorded in rock formations: Lower, Middle, Upper. The Middle corresponds to the notably marine part of the Triassic. The rock is sandstone and mudstone; it is found on all continents and is the residue of sedimentation in a hot climate. The landmass during the Triassic was a single supercontinent, Pangaea. The Atlantic Ocean opened at the end of the Triassic. orbits of finite amplitude, nonsinusoidal waves. The wave form is that of a prolate cycloid or trochoid, and the fluid particle motion is rotational as opposed to the usual irrotational particle motion for waves generated by normal forces.
