Trophic Level 3
Trophic Level 3 : The amount of energy, in terms of food, that an organism needs. Organisms capable of utilizing inorganic chemicals, e.g., plants, or food of low energy content are said to be on a low trophic level whereas, for example, predator species needing food of high energy content are said to be on a high trophic level. The trophic level, thus, indicates the level of the organism in the food chain
