Troposphere 09

Troposphere 09 : The lowest layer of the atmosphere, from the surface to about 12 kilometers, characterized by a general decrease of temperature with increasing altitude. The troposphere contains 90% of the total mass of air, and most of the water vapor in the atmosphere; thus, most precipitation originates in this layer. See also Stratosphere, Tropopause
