Unique Cell Reference

Unique Cell Reference : (ICT) A spreadsheet term. A spreadsheet works by carrying out calculations on various cells within a worksheet. Therefore each cell has to have an unique cell reference that identifies that particular cell. For example the column within the worksheet starts with A, B, C ... whilst the rows are numbered 1,2,3 ... so the unique cell reference of the top left cell in the worksheet is "A1" i.e. column A row 1. Sometimes both rows and columns are numbered, in which case the same cell is R1C1
