Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device VBIED 3 : An IED that is delivered in a vehicle. This method may have been chosen for a combination of factors including the ability to deliver a greater mass, more quickly and with a lower chance of detection. As well as the device itself, glass and metal of the vehicle will create shrapnel hazards.
