Vehicle Occupancy : Vehicle occupancy is the ratio of the number of people per vehicle. This number is always equal to at least 1.0, because there must always be at least one person (driver) in each vehicle. Vehicle occupancy rates consider private vehicles only and do not normally account for transit or active mode trips. It can also be calculated as the number of person trips by auto mode divided by the number of vehicle trips
