Bargaining Unit 1 :
The particular unit usually a trade union representing worker interests that is recognized for bargaining purposes. Where no designation or certification is made in accordance with legislation, it is the unit that is accepted by the employer for bargaining purposes. Where more than one union exists in an enterprise, they may cooperate to form a single bargaining unit. See: Collective bargaining
