Warning 09 :
Dissemination of notification message signaling imminent hazard which may include advice on protective measures. See also alert. (Adapted from U.N. 1992, 5). For example, a warning is issued by the National Weather Service to let people know that a severe weather event is already occurring or is imminent, and usually provides direction on protective actions. A warning notification for individuals is equivalent to an activation notification for response systems
