Water Main 3 : Large conduit which distributes water to smaller branches. Three groups. Trunk mains which carry water from one pumping station or a reservoir to another, or to a district, normally not used for supplying consumers direct. Secondary mainswhich convey water from the trunk main to the service mains which are used to supply consumers in the street in which they are laid
