Workshop 2

Workshop 2 :

The workshop, a type of discussion-based exercise, represents the second tier of exercises in the building-block approach. Although similar to seminars, workshops differ in two important aspects: increased participant interaction, and a focus on achieving or building a product (e.g., plans, policies). A workshop is typically used to: test new ideas, processes, or procedures; train groups in coordinated activities; and obtain consensus. Workshops often use breakout sessions to explore parts of an issue with smaller groups. (FEMA, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program Glossary, 2008)
