Zone B 3

Zone B 3 : On Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), the area depicted as between the limits of the 100-year and 500-year floods. B Zones are also used to designate 100-year floodplains of little hazard, such as those with average depths of less than one foot. This is an old flood hazard designation no longer used in FIRMs but is still valid for those FIRMs that have not been superseded. New identified areas meeting this description are now Zone X (shaded)
