Agglomeration 5 : Implies consolidation of solid particles into larger shapes by means of agitation alone, that is, without application of mechanical pressure in molds, between rolls, or through dies. Industrial agglomeration is usually implemented in balling devices such as rotating discs, drums, or cones, but it can occur in a simple mixer. Agglomeration has also been used to describe the entire field of particulate consolidation
