Alarm System 1

Alarm System 1 : (Fire Pr) A system for producing a warning signal to indicate a dangerous condition. Depending on its design capabilities, the system generates a signal when it detects an unusually rapid temperature rise, the presence of abnormal smoke or ionized particles, infrared or ultraviolet radiation. The alarm may be a local audible or visual signal, or an electrical signal at a remote central station. Note: In a class A alarm system, alarm boxes are connected to a central station, where operators relay signals and messages to the proper fire stations and units. A class B system automatically routes alarms to appropriate fire stations
