Alarm System 2
Alarm System 2 : A fire detection system that reports alarms to a fire or watch station; it might monitor heat, smoke and other particles of combustion, or water flow in sprinkler pipes. Type A alarm systems are self-monitoring and will transmit a trouble signal if there is a defect in the system; it can also transmit an alarm signal if the defect is a single break in circuit wiring. Type B systems are also self-monitoring, but can transmit only a trouble signal if there is a defect. See: Signaling System
