Area Command 3
Area Command 3 : An element of the Incident Command System. "If necessary, an Area Command may be established to oversee the management of multiple incidents being handled by separate Incident Command Posts or to oversee management of a complex incident dispersed over a larger area. The Area Command does not have operational responsibilities and is activated only if necessary, depending on the complexity of the incident and incident management spanof control considerations. The Area Command or Incident Command Post provides information to, and may request assistance from, the local emergency operations center".
