Area Command Team (ACT)
Area Command Team (ACT) : "An Area Command Team is an organization established to assist an Agency Administrator by: Overseeing the management of multiple incidents that are each being handled by an incident management team organization (IMT); Overseeing the management of a very large incident that has multiple IMTs assigned to it; Assisting an agency administrator due to the complexity of incidents(s) /issues; and/or Reducing a span of control that has exceeded the local agency administrator(s) ability or desire to manage while still overseeing their unit".
