Beating 2
Beating 2 : Wave phenomenon which occurs when two or more waves of different frequencies become superimposed. The resultant wave has amplitude maxima ("beats") at the frequency equal to the difference of the frequencies of the initial waves. This process may be controlled (heterodyne) to produce a desired beat frequency; that is, to produce a resultant wave with a frequency that is ideally suited for a given operation
