Benefit 3 : The people or groups who benefit from an intervention are those whose safety on the road is likely to improve as a result of the intervention. They may or may not be the same as the people or groups who you wish to influence. For example, a child pedestrian training scheme aims to both influence and benefit child pedestrians by improving their road crossing skills. Whereas an intervention targeting HGV drivers to raise awareness of the need to check for cyclists when turning left, aims to influence HGV drivers, but to benefit cyclists
