Brazing

Brazing :

(Metall) Joining of metal surfaces by flowing a thin capillary layer of nonferrous filler metal between them. Sometimes the filler metal is applied as a thin, solid sheet, as in cladding, and the sandwich is bonded by furnace brazing. The term is used for bonding processes above approx 800°F (1000°F according to the American Welding Society), while soldering is used for processes at lower temperatures. Also called: Hard Soldering; Silver Soldering; Bronze Welding. See: Welding
