Break Bulk 6

Break Bulk 6 :

(1) To unload, sort and reload some/all of a vehicle in transit. (2) To reduce a large shipment of a single commodity to many shipments that are then dispersed to various buyers. (3) Disassembling of consolidated shipment for delivery or re-consignment of a shipment. (4) Loose cargo, such as cartons, stowed directly in the ship's hold as opposed to containerized or bulk cargo. Note: For consolidated air freight, it is moved under one MAWB and each consignment designated to specific consignee or recipient is under one HAWB. When freight forwarder receives the consolidated cargo from carrier, they will break the consolidation apart per HAWB then proceed customs clearance along with associated shipping and import documents. Such Break-Bulk is normally handled by airlines or their contracted ground handling agent
