Building Code 01 : (Build) A set of rules, regulations, and standards governing the construction of buildings intended for particular uses. Note: Building codes are of two types: specification codes, which define the materials that may be used, sizes, tolerances, assembly procedures, and other details; and performance codes, which set forth construction objectives and the acceptability criteria. In the latter, the designer and builder are free to choose any of various alternatives that satisfy the criteria
