Bunsen Burner 1 : A common laboratory heater consisting of a straight tube with adjustable air inlet holes and a gas connection at the base. The incoming gas entrains air and mixes with it to produce a premixed flame. If the mixture is fuel-rich, the premixed cone-shaped flame is surrounded by a diffusion flame. The two nested flame cones can be separated by a Smithels separator
