Burning Temperature


Burning Temperature : The temperature at which a zone of combustion attempts to establish itself but which will vary with the supply of air to the combustible or fuel. Thus within certain limits it is possible to increase the temperature of a fuel by forcing air through the bed at a greater pace. This is illustrated in a smithy fire wherein a higher burning temperature is established when the blower is worked at a greater rate
