Callipic Cycle 1 : A unit of time equal to 76 years or 4?Metonic cycles, formerly used in astronomy in predicting the phases of the Moon. After the passage of one Callipic cycle, the phases of the Moon repeat essentially on the same calendar dates as in the preceding cycle. The cycle is named for the Greek astronomer Callipus, who discovered it in 330 BCE
