Callosity 2
Callosity 2 : A circumscribed thickening of the keratin layer of the epidermis as a result of repeated friction or intermittent pressure. Synonym: callositas, callus, keratoma, poroma, tyle, tyloma. Origin: L. Fr. Callosus, thick-skinned. Callosity is another name for callus, a piece of skin that has become thickened as a result of repeated contact and friction.
