Canadian Police Auxiliary Constable 07 : Ottawa Police Service Auxiliary Unit: Ottawa Police Service's Auxiliary Unit is composed of 13 unarmed volunteers and operational since 2009. Their main duty is community policing. Other duties include: (a) Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) audits; (b) Marine Patrol; (c) Child Car Seat Clinics; (d) Ride Alongs; (e) Assisting in Special Events; (f) Crime Prevention Initiatives. (5) Peel Regional Police Auxiliary: The Auxiliary program has 100 officers made up of unarmed volunteers. They support regular Peel officers with: (a) patrol and marine escorts; (b) R. I. D. E, program assistance; (c) special events; (d) emergency callout; (e) Auxiliary Honour Guard; (f) colours at Annual Unit Inspection
