Color Rendering Index (CRI)

Color Rendering Index (CRI) : A scale used in engineering to measure the ability of an artificial lighting system to show the "true" colors of objects, that is, the colors those object display in natural daylight out of doors. The scale is from 0 to 100, with higher numbers representing a higher degree of fidelity of color. The test procedure, developed by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), involves comparison of eight test colors under both natural lighting and the artificial source being tested
