Competent Authority (CA) 1 : In the context of legislation on "new" and "existing" chemicals, each Member State designates one or more Competent Authorities to participate in implementation in collaboration with the Commission. The Commission holds a meeting of the Competent Authorities for Regulation 793/93 on a regular basis (normally twice a year). Competent Authorities are responsible for the endorsement of all risk assessments reports and risk assessment strategies
