Competent Person 06
Competent Person 06 : A fit and properly trained person appointed by company top management who has the necessary technical, engineering and professional skills and ability, authority and know-how to meet and institute the procedural requirements of one or more aspect(s) of the operation. He/she is also responsible for periodically evaluating compliance with relevant legislation and regulations appertaining to the operation and for new developments. In the context of asbestos control, a person who assists with asbestos control programme oversight and is capable of identifying existing asbestos hazards in the workplace, selecting the corrective measures to eliminate the hazards and auditing compliance to the measures
