Concentration 9 (of Gases) : The proportion of a constituent of a mixture with gases may be expressed as (1) per cent. by volume, (2) parts by vol. , (3) partial pressure and (4) weight per unit vol. of air (mg/1). Toxic gases are usually expressed either by volume as parts per million (in the case of CO as parts per 10,000); or by weight as mg/1 or g/m3
