Consequence Management 05
Consequence Management 05 : "Per the National Strategy for Homeland Security, July 2002, the NRP will consolidate existing federal government emergency response plans into one genuinely all-discipline, all-hazard plan and thereby eliminate the "crisis management" and "consequence management" distinction. Traditionally, consequence management has been predominantly an emergency management function and included measures to protect public health and safety, restore essential government services, and provide emergency relief to governments, businesses, and individuals affected by the consequences of terrorism. The requirements of consequence management and crisis management are combined in the NRP. See also: Crisis Management". (DHS, National Response Plan (Draft #1), 25Feb2004, p. 73 (Gloss.)
