Contingency Planning 13

Contingency Planning 13 : An internal effort within an organization to assure that the competence, capacity and capability exist to continue and/or restore essential business and service functions and processes across a wide range of potential emergencies, including natural, technological, and intentional hazards. Accordingly, an effective Emergency Management program, while addressing the four phases of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, includes continuity planning activities to ensure that mission critical business operations, patient care services, and ancillary and support functions continue with little or no interruption, or are resumed and recovered according to pre-determined planning guidance.
