Contract for Services 1 : An agreement with an independent contractor whereby the Contractor agrees to perform services in accordance with the terms agreed upon at the prices agreed upon. Contract for services is distinct from contract of service or employment contract. If a contract does not contain a requirement for personal service or there is insufficient control or there is a lack of mutuality of obligations (i.e., an obligation to offer and an obligation to accept future work) the contract is unlikely to be seen as a contract of employment
