Use of artificial or natural ponds or lakes to recool the water. A power plant with an electric output of 1 300 MW needs a pond with a cooling surface of about 10 km2 to be able to maintain a cooling water temperature of 21oC at humid air temperatures of 8oC (12oC dry, relative humidity 57%)
