Coulomb per Centimeter Squared

Coulomb per Centimeter Squared :

The coulomb per centimeter squared (symbolized C/cm (2) is a unit of electric flux density. It represents a considerable electric charge per unit surface area. Suppose there are two charged plates, each having an area of one centimeter squared, placed close together to form a capacitor. Suppose further that one plate is connected to electrical ground while the other is supplied with one coulomb of electric charge. Then the flux density between the plates is 1 C/cm2. If the charge is doubled, the flux density will become 2 C/cm2; the same thing will happen if the area of the plates is cut in half while the charge remains the same.
