Defense Acquisition Board (DAB) : The senior DoD acquisition review board chaired by the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Technology. The Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the ViceChair. Other members of the Board are the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, Service Acquisition Executives of the Army, Navy, and Air Force; the Director of Defense Research and Engineering; the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Program Analysis and Evaluation; the Comptroller of the Department of Defense; the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation; the appropriate Defense Acquisition Board Committee Chair; and the Defense Acquisition Board Executive Secretary.
